Buying, Selling, All in a day

Today was a big day.   In one day we managed to close on the loans for our new home, I had 2 cavities filled, and our current house went on the market.  Whew.  

We have been trying to close on our construction loan for a couple of months now.  The holidays and some confusion with the bank made it take a little longer than expected but ended up helping us get a lower rate in the end!  On Monday, the official construction begins with the lot clearing!  SO EXCITED!!!!  The house should take 10months or so to build!  I will post lots of pictures as we progress!

This evening we met with our realtor (and her husband) about putting our house on the market. They were able to get all the pictures taken and we settled on an asking price and a sign went in the yard! 

We are the only house for sale in our neighborhood, for now.  We know a few others are going up soon.  We decided to list it now so we don't risk having two mortgages. Hopefully we will become short term renters soon!
