Saturday morning at the airport

This is the conversation we had Friday night:

Cason, tomorrow is Saturday, what do you want to do?
"Go to Neanie and G-Pa's"
Aw, bud, me too but that's too far for a day trip.
"Go to Luke and Hudson's???"
Still too far, I'm sorry, wish we could.
"But we could go on an airplane"
Yes, we could but it's too late to get tickets.
"We can go to the airport and look at strangers"

All I could do is laugh at that one. Sweet boy misses his long distance family and friends!!

We'd been talking about going to eat at the new Black Walnut Cafe at the Conroe airport so we could watch the planes. So we thought this was the perfect opportunity.

It's a great view and we had fun:

Of course, Cason was more interested in these bugs than the planes. He named them Anna and Elsa!

Soccer camp

We finally signed Cason up for some camps. Probably the worst year due to how crazy things are for me at work but he needed the experience. Soccer camp is this week. We also have science camp and basketball camp later this summer.

He was excited and nervous on his first day!

Handwriting

Cason works on his writing and specifically his name at school daily. We try to reinforce at home. He really likes dry erase markers right now.

After playing with the number/math tiles, he wrote his name a couple times.

"Tiny O" and an underline in the top picture. And he has to color in the A and O.

Game night

We put Claire to bed and let Cason stay up and play some games with us. He won 2, Ryan won 1, and I won nothing. But we had so much fun and Cason is learning that he can't win all the time but it's still fun to play!

Breathing treatments

This seems to be a new part of life for Claire.

Since our trip to the ER over Labor Day when Claire was struggling to get full breaths, we haven't gone more than a month without doing a few days of breathing treatments.

Thank goodness for Mickey and Doc!

My shadow

She is a mama's girl for sure. I spend most nights trying to cook with this little one between me and the counter.

My mom said this reminds her of how Pop would say I was her little shadow when I was little.

Ice Cream at our Favorite Mexican Restaurant

We can always bribe the kids to eat and behave when free ice cream is involved

She did not like the little joke I played on her saying it was my ice cream and taking a tiny bite

All better
