Now, she has a new favorite noise. This is the best I've gotten on video but when she gets going, she really gets going. By the time I grab the phone or camera, she usually stops.

"Claire Noises"
Cason likes to give a running commentary of everything going on around him. One of his common phrases is "Claire noises". It started from just her little grunts and squeaks... he tells us every time she makes a noise, like we didn't hear her.
Now, she has a new favorite noise. This is the best I've gotten on video but when she gets going, she really gets going. By the time I grab the phone or camera, she usually stops.
(If the video is turned, check back soon... youtube says its still "saving" my changes. I finally remember to take a video widescreen and it still uploads portrait, sigh).

Father's Day 2012
I took the kids for a mini-session with Crystal (Crystal Lynn Photographer) a few weeks before Father's Day. It was hard to get a smile out of Cason. The pictures were taken at Hyde's Cafe in Old Town Spring which is right by a very active train track. A train was going by, tooting its horn, but Cason couldn't see it from where we were and he was very confused. But, we did get one smile at the end!
We celebrated Father's Day with Breakfast at Eden Cafe on Saturday morning and Swimming and Lunch with Ryan's family on Sunday afternoon.
I am so lucky to have such an amazing daddy for my kids. He said he'd never change diapers (haha, never say never) before we had kids but he is the exact opposite of a hands off dad. He works hard, plays hard and even changes diapers! We love you, Ryan.

Claire - unswaddled
Claire has been staging swaddle breaks for a couple of weeks. And when she is unsuccessful in the early hours of the morning, she gets mad. She wants her thumb and sleeps later if she gets it.
So last night, we just did jammies. I laid her on her back and she immediately rolled over and slept like this till 8:00am!

Claire - 4 months
Claire is 4 months old. I feel like I don't have time to record her milestones like I did with Cason... but I'm doing my best.
At her 4 month checkup, Dr B said she was perfect! And we learned that she is just as big as her big brother!
Claire: 25.88" 14lb 9.5oz
Cason: 25.75" 16lb 9.4oz
So she's a little longer than Cason, but in his defense, she had just woken up and was stretching pretty hard when the nurse measured her. Either way, they are about the same in height and she's just growing like a weed.
- 5-6 6oz bottles a day - still all breastmilk
- Rolls over from back to tummy
- Laughs, especially at Cason -- She LOOOOVES him.
- Knows when Cason is around and smiles when she hears his voice
- Goes to bed around 8:30 and will sleep until 7:30 or 8 on weekends (we get up at 6:30am on weekdays)
- Sits up really well in the Bumbo and with the boppy around her
- Finally not throwing up all the time but we still have lots of little spit ups and still have manly burps
- Eyes are still blue and hair has a hint of Cason's red... we think she'll be strawberry blonde but not as red as Cason.
- Loves to be outside
- Loves to be sitting or standing and puts lots of weight in her legs
- Can push up on her elbows and look all around the room when on her tummy

Claire - Rolling Over
A month and a half before her brother did, Claire started rolling over to her tummy...
Cason likes to lay on the floor with her now and say he's "rolling over".
