Mohawk

Another rite of passage.  Cason’s hair is finally long enough to get a little mohawk action. DSC_0871DSC_0875DSC_0876DSC_0877DSC_0883

Superbowl

We went to Brandon and Suzie’s to watch the Superbowl this year.  Just another one of those things that’s a little different after having kids.

Late Night Playing

It's 9:40pm and Cason is still playing.  Don't judge, we had a late morning, late nap and hey, he's happy.  I setup a play area in the Kitchen while Ryan and I got our late dinner ready.

He played with his play table... and again, don't judge about how close he is to that outlet, they are the child proof kind!  :)

Cason 131

Notice the way he's perched... this is his new favorite way to play which I'm guessing is going to quickly lead to him pulling straight up to standing.

Then, he decide it was time to go for a little stroll with Sophie! Cason 135

Adventures in Crawling

Cason is crawling EVERYWHERE!  Its the cutest thing, most of the time.  Sometimes I miss that baby that stayed where you placed him but for the most part I love seeing what he'll get into.

He's always had a love for the borders of his playmat.   Now, they go where he goes.  I think he learned this maneuver from his big brother Admiral.

Next, he's found fun things to play with and compartments to get into.  This is the base of the high chair.  He got right in there but couldn't quite figure out how to get out.

I knew it was only a matter of time before he found the bookshelves.  Admiral was a big fan of that bucket of balls but I was able to quickly train him to leave them alone.  Now, I'm working on the same with Cason... but he's not understanding NO yet.

And look, there are books on the other side...

This has nothing to do with crawling but lots to do with Admirals slow revelation that Cason is the most importatnt person in the house.  And, that under his high chair is the best place to be.

Again, nothing to do with crawling but a picture of one of his latest foods... sliced Zuchini and Squash.  He handles these really well since they are so soft and mushy.

And back to crawling... into Admiral's bed and trying to play with his toys.  Eww.

And last,  a quick video.  He's really picked up the pace.

Playing in the sink and with boxes

But, Not at the same time.

On Monday nights, Ryan plays basketball so Cason and I are home alone.  Sometimes I need to be able to watch over dinner while also watching over Cason.  He love’s to play in the sink while I do this.

And he also loves to stick out his tongue!

And in keeping with what I’ve heard so many parents say… “why do we buy our kids toys when they’d much rather play with a cardboard box”… here we are playing with a box.

Videos!

I finally got a bunch of the video’s off the camcorder and camera.  I haven’t gone through them all but here are a few I’ve been wanting to post.

First up is the first night of crawling, as promised.  You’ll see a little bribery to get him to perform for the camera… please don’t judge.

First Night Crawling

Second is a little play time with Admiral.  I don’t know what it is that got Admiral to notice him but as you can see, Cason has been noticed.  Admiral is not sure what to think about this new little thing that moves but Cason loves Admiral!

Brotherly Love

And I’ll wrap it up with an oldie.  This is from Nov 28.  We’ve been affectionately calling Cason “C-Rex” as he loves to make these little noises that sound like what TV has told us dinosaurs sounded like.  I guess its sort of like a monkey sound too.  This may be a boring 1min 37seconds but I always remember this random couple telling us one day when Cason was maybe 6 weeks old to take lots of video, one day they won’t make these cute noises anymore.  So here are the 7 month noises!

Playing Outside

We had a couple of nice weather days so we did a little playing outside.  Cason still loves his swing!

And loves eating  playing in the dirt.
